2019 wasn't a great season for AVCC with our 1st XI only confirming their position in Division One on the last day of the season and our 2nd XI only won one game in Division 4 all season. The 2nd XI did pick up the Cherwell League Spirit of Cricket Award. The 3rd XI had a mixed season and finished comfortably in lower-mid table in Division 8, without really challenging for promotion. The fourth eleven had a had some inspirational performances but availability was an issue throughout. The club is in a very healthy state with a number of players representing the county at junior level and four players that started at AVCC have now got first-class contracts. A number of our conveyor belt of young players continue to gain valuable cricketing experiences playing in all 4 senior teams. Finally we visited our friends at SC Ajax for a tour in July - a friendship that is now 60 years young.
